About

Marco started his career as a Real Estate Developer at the third largest Dutch consulting and engineering company in this field in Europe. He then worked as a Real Estate Developer in the Management Board of a regional real estate developer as initiator and realizer of a large number of real estate developments and projects.
Marco has walked the Camino trail two times. This historic pilgrimage walk is 799 kilometers long and it takes the average hiker about a month. During this walk Marco decided to change course and start his own Real Estate company which he named after the famous pilgrim’s walk: Camino Real Estate.
His company supports real estate owners and users companies and (semi)-government in their spacial and financial real estate challenges. Camino Real Estate also focuses on our living and working environment with an aim to fill vacant real estate. This makes Camino Real Estate since its establishment a permanent partner for all real estate owners such as (social) organizations, municipalities and companies seeking a solution for their housing issues.
In addition to acting as an advisor, Marco’s company also plays a supporting role as an investor. In 2015, Camino Real Estate received the Pieter van Vollenhoven prize from the National Restoration Fund for the risk bearing redevelopment of the former train station St. Gerlach in Valkenburg.
Marco speaks Dutch, English, German, French and Swedish.
